2023 Jensen Hughes Fire Safety Challenge


Please join us in congratulating 娜塔莉·古德伊尔 and 辛迪王, winners of the 都被点燃了! 学生的竞争.

These two young women created outstanding content highlighting the importance of fire safety in our communities. Their successful individual submissions rose above their peers in the areas of scientific accuracy, 创造力, organization of content and message clarity.


Jensen Hughes partnered with SWENext to create the 都被点燃了! Fire Safety Challenge to introduce girls to the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) community. 为了这场比赛, we challenged high school students to create a video and middle school students to create an e-poster that highlights the importance of fire safety in our community. Winners were selected based on their creative content, which highlighted the importance of scientifically accurate fire prevention and safety knowledge.

SWENext is a way for girls to become a part of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) engineering community as students through the age of 18.


SWENexters have access to programs, 导师, and resources designed to develop leadership skills and self-confidence to # BeThatEngineer and succeed in engineering and technology careers. Although the program focuses on girls, all students are encouraged to get involved.
